Keynote Addresses:
Cheryl Beebe, VP Finance & Treasurer of Corn Products International, will examine how Corn Products, a leading global producer of corn-refined products with annual sales of $2 billion, faced a challenge. When it was spun off from Best Foods in 1997, the "DWC" increased, requiring Corn Products to increase debt. Cheryl Beebe explains how Corn Products undertook a major initiative to reduce "DWC" to fund pay-down of debt. She describes the best practices implemented that are now delivering sustainable benefits across the organization.

Brian Roseboro, Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets of the US Department of the Treasury, will discuss how the US Treasury deals with uncertainty about future financing needs and costs given seasonal changes in cash flows, structural changes in tax policy, ebbs and flows in government spending, and questions about GDP growth. He reaffirms the importance of regular and predictable issuance across a wide range of Treasury securities, with a view toward corporate reliance on these securities for pricing, hedging, and cash management models. He offers a sophisticated assessment of how and when increased government borrowing can drive up short- and near-term interest rates.

Michael Gabaly, Director of Enterprise Performance Management of Lockheed Martin, will examine how at Lockheed Martin, 125,000 employees worldwide are part of a culture that has long valued order and consistency. Michael Gabaly, the designated "catalyst" now leading the company's working capital productivity effort, shares the trials and tribulations of driving change--and why there's much more to it than systems and process design. He describes a new operating environment, senior management's involvement, and tactics that can make the change campaign visible and effective across the business. He also discusses the tools and reporting initiatives instituted and the drive toward a "single source of financial truth." He explains the concept of "opportunity cash flow" and reports on the rewards and value realized to date.
